November - Bible Verse of the Month - Colossians 3:16-17

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.- Colossians 3:16-17

What it reveals: This verse teaches us to be filled with thanksgiving, to have gratitude in our understanding of Christ and the correction that comes with knowing Him. In our relationship with Him and with people we should remain grateful. We should also remember the word and works of Christ as we go about our day to day lives as it will fuel an attitude of thanksgiving towards God and cause to reflect on who we were, who we are, and who we'll become. It also gives us a deeper appreciation for the things we have, from relationships to careers, to the simple things like food and water. Overall, as we dwell in His message our lens for gratitude expands and our understanding of His grace greatly enriches our lives and that's what gratitude is all about. Enriching our lives.

Prayer:

Thank you, Jesus! We made it this far and we couldn't have done it without you. Father, today and every day we just amplify your name and your works in our lives. Thank you for this breath in our lungs and the word on our tongues. We pray that we will continually have a reason to be grateful and to sing your praise. Enrich our lives Lord, and may our days be filled with your infinite mercies and blessings. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen!
