Make Room For Him

Make room for God.

With everything moving quickly in your life, don't forget Him. Don't forget the one who made it possible for you to be who you are right now. You're blessed, and you have to make room in your storehouse for the provider. When you reach one level, always remember that the expectation of reaching another level with God is heightened.

We have to release ourselves from childish things and grow when it's time to grow.

It's so easy to get caught up in the checklist, the day-to-day and caught up in the motions of life. But there comes the point when we have to say no more of the cycle of inconsistent intimacy with God. The biggest misstep in our spiritual journey is inconsistent time with Him, in prayer, in His word, in community fueled by Him, and more.

I'm guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the reason I missed October's blog post (may God have mercy on me), it's the reason I can find myself getting carried away on social media, or why if I'm not careful, I can make idols out of the things he meant to bless me (my job, my partner). We have to stay alert and on guard because when we don't, that's when the enemy finds a foothold and sneaks in to disrupt our lives.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

That's when we find ourselves distracted, frustrated, depressed, suddenly not at peace, or desperate to find happiness. May that never be our portion in Jesus' name! Amen. This is what can happen when we don't make room for Him. Room for the one who made room for us on this earth, room for us in His kingdom in heaven and on earth, room for us at our workplaces, in our communities, in our families, and everywhere else He's placed us.

My only motivation for this post as the Holy Spirit inspires me is to remind and encourage us of the importance and need to make room for Abba.

I leave you with this, for all the times you need reassurance on how to think about making room for God:

Make the

Alpha and Omega

King over

Everything in your life, and

Require an

Outward expression

Of

More from yourself to Him.

It always helps to start with worship!
